In fact, I could compile it fine with MacTex on my machine. A lot of the ACM journals and conferences actually take word files, which is even worse. I’d add using command-line convert tiger. You need to use pdflatex for this. A very fast solution is to convert the png file into eps format.
So, you only need to open the file in Inkscape and then SaveAs and select eps format. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google.
