Some adult readers might find the plot a little ‘elementary’, but I felt there were enough twists and turns that even the most seasoned sci-fi adult readers would enjoy it.

Earthfall is written in such a way that adult readers will find it a page-turner and captivating, while younger readers will find it thrilling and exciting. If you’re looking for something with a bit more depth than a superficial battle between good and evil or some unexpected plotting, then it probably isn’t the book for you. In the world of Sam Riley, there is danger everywhere: I just loved it so Aerthfall imagine that it would be even more appealing to the target audience. Maybe book two will deliver the shivers! I went into this thinking it was a stand alone.
The Earthfall Trilogy
The earthfll has a way waldfn drawing you in to the story. It is full of non stop action, it doesn’t get boring at all.
Return to Book Page. The boy waldem down in his sleeping bag on top of the inflatable mattress on the other side of the room and picked up the small battery-powered radio that lay next to his bed. Sam is quite an interesting character – given an implant designed to protect against the alien invasion, it turns out he is the key to the defence of Earth. Amazon Second Chance Pass it on, trade it in, give it a second life. The characters were all strong and capable and I liked each of them.

Mechanical in the way that it reads like a guidebook, and so it fails to create any kind of connection with me. At the far end of the street the vessel banked slowly around before coming to a halt, hovering in midair. I was hooked start to finish. Six months on and Sam still isn’t closer to any answers. It was like Sam was transforming immediately before my eyes but I didn’t feel the groundwork as to how he got there.
This might simply be a fact that I am an older reader, though I do love YA dystopian scifi.

Jul 10, Misty rated it liked it Shelves: At first it had been comforting, but after a while it had magk him notice all the more acutely that there was now no one left to answer. As he stares up, people stream past, walking silently toward the enormous ships, which emit a persistent noise.
One day though Sam is approached by a marj of other kids, who also seem to have survived, and then take him to the place where they live — with a group of other kids underground, led by a scientist called Dr Stirling.
Sam wakes to see strange vessels gathered in the skies around London.
It is extremely well written and is just the right length with none of it dragging on or getting boring and walren action is well balanced with the rest. This book is one of my favorites. About the Author Mark Walden spent a decade as a video game designer and producer before becoming a fulltime writer and father.
