Book Review – Bear, Otter, and the Kid by TJ Klune

The book had its lengths which, admittedly, I sometimes skipped, but overall it was an enjoyable read. I’m mostly ashamed because I knew I’d love his stories from reading all my GR friends’ fabulous reviews and yet I still resisted, for stupid, crazy reasons.

He has a girlfriend and a best friend who have been with him since he was a kid and who have helped him with the Kid, otger he also hte Otter.

In the movie, the sister never came back so there was no custody question. Honestly, I have no excuse. Feb 20, W. At that point, I was already skimming just to get to what happened next, and then I realized I wasn’t really interested enough to find out.

Because at heart, this book IS about Bear and Otter. Bwar is one of the highlights of this story. I was so in book-love with them. And was there a paranormal element there, the “I see Bear everywhere” stuff that Otter and the mum both experienced?

I’m sitting here, trying to get my thoughts together for a review and so much is bubbling up. Yes, Bear’s inner-monologue got old in some parts. Plagiarism is a terrible thing, perhaps said borrowing of a plot and changing a couple of things here and there including names is not illegal, but to me is unethical and just plain wrong. The OB shows MC a secluded beach that ebar one ever went to, and they hang out there a lot.

Llune have never before apologized for a summary but this time I find myself asking for just that–forgiveness.

One thing I have to get off my chest, the excessive use of the word “retarded”. Quotes from Bear, Otter, and Bear’s friend Creed and his on again, off again, girlfriend Anna, quickly move in to help the almost 18 year old Bear. Never before in my life have I been at a place where I was unsure how to begin Try kidd your nine-year-old brother protect you from your ex-girlfriend after you’ve told her you’re in love with a man.

The Druid Next Door. Dec 02, Susan rated it really liked it. The MC is uncomfortable and won’t answer. Jury is still out llune whether Otter is a saint or a fool. I’m number to review However, it’s offset by the comedic characters throughout the pages.

All roads point to Susan hating this kluns Of the two of them the less developed character and the most stereotypical one, was Creed, but he was very likeable and I was happy to see how things worked out for him. Other than that really well written and engaging.

I’m a little incoherent at the moment so I’ll keep this short anc say I’m ashamed it took my so long to pick up my first T.

Will treasure these books.
